It's nice to have something relaxing to look forward to at the end of a long day! It might not be until you are done helping your kids with homework, making dinner, or probably folding some laundry, but when you can, please give yourself permission to relax and have some quality time with yourself. Maybe you can enjoy a relaxing bath with this DIY bath bomb recipe:
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup baking soda
1/2 cup citric acid
1/2 cup sea salt or Epsom salts
3/4 cup cornstarch
2 teaspoons olive, coconut, or almond oil
2 teaspoons witch hazel
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
30-40 drops of essential oil of your choice
INSTRUCTIONS:
Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl and mix until blended
Mix oil, witch hazel, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl, and stir well. Add essential oils if using.
Add liquid ingredients to dry ingredients, a few drops at a time. Mix well with your hands.
The mixture should hold together, without crumbling, when squeezed. Add slightly more witch hazel, if needed, to achieve this consistency.
Quickly push the mixture into a mold or greased muffin tins. Press in firmly. Leave for at least 24 hours or until hardened.
When dry, remove from molds and store in an airtight container. Use within two weeks.
I hope you always find the time to spend time with yourself. Learning to be with you is the best give you can ever have.
