HOW TO GET ENERGIZED WITHOUT CAFFEINE.

This might sound impossible, it was hard to believe it myself since I am a huge coffee lover (and there is nothing wrong with it) I can't start my day without "the drug in a mug". Well... it's NOT impossible in this easy-to-read post, I will share with you my peeps, how to get energized without caffeine. Lately, I was relying on my caffeine intake a lot to go through my day.

Yup! I am guilty myself, so the only caffeinated drink that I consume is my coffee which is not black btw and on a good day I can go from 16oz to 24oz or even more this usually happens more frequently in winter when we crave warm stuff and let me tell you cravings are perfectly OKAY, is one of the ways our body communicate with us and tell us we need to stay in balance with whole foods. I know I am an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach I should know better right?, but I am also human a very raw and authentic human being. So recently I kind of get into the habit of having an almond milk latte in the afternoons, I always ask for an extra espresso shot🤦‍♀️ yup, I am that kind of girl the stronger the better, 😅well not a very good choice for my body and brain, because caffeine will only be going to give us a rapid boost but afterward we'll fall into a big crush, feeling sluggish with zero energy, not only coffee but any kind of caffeinated drink. But before I dive in and share with you some of the tips that serve me on HOW TO GET ENERGIZED WITHOUT CAFFEINE.

I want to do some housekeeping with it. Let's begin with if you are tired or exhausted because you are trying to squeeze every single bit out of your poor body?! Let me be clear and honest, nothing in the world will give you energy but resting and sleeping as simple as can be, I also know many, many people are suffering from insomnia (70% of Americans to be exact) but that's a whole different blog, that I would love to write about eventually since I love to help people to be able to sleep through the night, as I said a whole different topic, the bottom line here is, the body and mind need to rest.

Also, if your fatigue is related to any medical condition or medication, stick with your doctor's advice, he/she knows better (I hope). Sometimes the lack of energy, fatigue, or tiredness can be related to many factors, like hormones imbalance, fatigued adrenals, consuming a lot of animal products, and not enough whole foods, my very humble and holistic advice is to take a moment with yourself and try to find the root and cause of your tiredness then start to treat it.

WARM WATER WITH LEMON. As simple as can be, the first thing in the morning is to have a warm glass of water with lemon, if you want to get creative you can add a little bit of ginger as well. Some of the benefits of drinking warm water with lemon are, maintain healthy digestion, a great source of vitamin C, it also acts as a detoxifying agent and also helps to flush the bacteria. Be careful it has to be WARM water not HOT or COLD either those temperatures can kill the nutrients and enzymes of the lemon, so the bottom line won't work.

BREAKFAST: A nutritious and delicious breakfast is so important, not only for overall health but also can be so helpful to tame those sugar cravings during the day. I read the other day on the internet, that is not that important to have breakfast! and I was like 🤯🤦‍♀️ Are you kidding me? not all the things we read on the internet are accurate, skipping breakfast can lead to a sugar drop, have way more cravings and of course, feel irritated, short temper, headaches, the feeling we can burst in tear at any moment or for no reason. Choosing snacks wisely and healthy ones is another key to feeling energized. I still believe is the most important meal of the day even tho the internet says otherwise. I know there is a trend going on out there "Intermittent Fasting" which in most cases you need to skip breakfast, be careful with it if Intermittent Fasting is in your practice because sometimes can really mess up with the women's cycle, but once again is all about bio-individuality.

GREENS, GREENS, AND MORE GREENS. Yes! I said many times so we get it right, the early you have your greens the better, leafy dark greens are the best, they are full of vitamins, nutrients, and antioxidants, my green smoothies for breakfast are my favorite to-go drink/meal I called them "GREEN CAFFEINE". One of the many benefits of eating greens is that is packed with vitamin C, vitamin K, magnesium, and calcium, all the good stuff we need, my lovely teacher says if you can't eat your greens blend the up

EXERCISE: Get moving my girls...I'm living proof that not only being active or rising the heartbeat for at least 30 minutes a day can boost your energy for the rest of your day, and not only for the physical body but for the mind as well, it's well known that any kind of exercise helps to boots those happy chemicals, like dopamine and serotonin in our brain. I always encourage my clients to try different physical activities until they find one they really like and enjoy because there is nothing more tedious and exhausting than working-out in something you really dislike.

PSST... MAKE YOUR BED. Yes, it sounds silly and kids obvious right?! because we are supposed to be all making our bed, I assume that. Making the bed every morning will give that feeling of accomplishment, that we are ready to start the day with the right foot, if we managed to achieve that simple task every morning the odds are that going to accomplish the rest of your tasks on your day, and not only that a simple task will make you feel motivated and energized to continue and end the day with the same attitude.

Well, I will leave you to it and really hope from the bottom of my heart these simple tips can help in any way, my passion and purpose in life are to help others to live the best life they can possibly can, and not only in the physical body but in the mind and spirit. the purpose in life is to know yourself, love yourself unconditionally, trust yourself and the process and be with yourself. That is my main focus in my practice to help others find meaning in life within themselves.

Much Love and Light,

-Ana.💜
